Erduanjing Gr

Period:
Triassic

Age Interval:
Early-Middle Triassic, (TJ5)

Province:
Gansu

Type Locality and Naming

The second team of Gansu District Test was named in 1965. The named profile is located in the second fault well in Subei County, Gansu. In 1965, the second area survey team in Gansu named the red sediments in the Shanhujing area in Subei County, Gansu Province as the Upper Triassic Second Fault Well Group and the Middle and Lower Triassic. In 1969, the regional survey report of the Gansu Geological Bureau (1:200, 000) published the named section. In 1980, the Stratigraphic Table Compilation Group of Gansu Province changed the upper series to Shanhujing Group, and called the original Middle and Lower Triassic series as the second fault well group.

Regional extent

This group is mainly distributed in Shanhujing to the second fault well in Subei County, and is scattered in Yujingzi in Jinta County. The thickness is reduced to 560 m.
